Rail Europe and Amadeus join forces for international rail sales, launch Rail Europe Smart Tab on AmadeusAmadeus and Rail Europe 4A increase travel agencies revenue opportunities by offering Pan-European rail bookings through the Amadeus Selling Platform
Delhi, India, 15 April 2010: Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, and Rail Europe 4A, the leading distributor of European Rail worldwide, have partnered to increase the reach of Rail Europe's European railway products and offer Amadeus travel agencies in India unparalleled Pan-European rail content.
Amadeus will connect to Rail Europe's content through the company's travel agency point of sale front and back office system, the Amadeus Selling Platform. Travel agents will be able to book European rail segments with ease, to complement other travel details such as airline, car or hotel, and therefore provide a full itinerary for the traveller.

Offering rail segments also improves the quality of the travel agent's service by helping them deliver a "total trip" solution for the traveller. In addition to proposing flights in Europe, agents can now also offer to book an onward journey with rail passes (popular among leisure travellers), or convenient point-to-point travel combinations by high speed rail..
After having been successfully piloted in selected Travel Agencies in India, Rail Europe Smart Tab on Amadeus is now formally launched and available to all Amadeus clients across India.
